About
The Aspire to Lead course is designed for new and aspiring team leaders aged 20 and above, and provides an in-depth introduction to the role and responsibilities of a team leader.
The programme will give you skills and knowledge in the following areas:-
- The core skills to lead a team successfully
- Motivation techniques to get the best from people
- The confidence to tackle difficult issues, like underperformance
- Tools to develop as a leader
When
The course begins on Monday 19th November between 10.30am -3.00pm and will be delivered two days a week for four weeks.
The program consists of a half day induction session, 9.5 day course and 2hrs of one to one mentoring, to help you achieve a Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management. www.i-l-m.com
Delivery Team
The course is being delivered by professionally qualified coaches who also have substantial experience as team leaders. Their approach is to make the course practical, fun, and engaging.
Expectations of Participants
All participants need to be committed to achieving the qualification. This requires full attendance on the
training and tutorial sessions and completion of a workbook of reflective activities to complete the necessary assignments to achieve the qualification.
Eligibility to Attend
This course is open and free to individuals who meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria. Please note a copy of necessary evidence will be required on the day by the trainers.
- Aged 20 or above
- Resident in the UK for a minimum of 3 years (evidence: can include a UK birth certificate or British passport with a relevant residents permit if necessary)
- Unemployed and claiming Job Seekers Allowance (evidence: A letter from your JCP adviser will be required to demonstrate you are currently claiming Job Seekers Allowance)
- Not currently participating in any other training course.
