Transformers £20,000 Grants - 2012 Olympics

Olympic_Lottery_DistributorThe Transformers Grant programme is provided through the Olympic Lottery Distributor and administered by the East London Business Alliance (ELBA). Funding is intended to support the promise of regeneration for East London and the differences it would make to local communities, an outcome of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic bid. Funding is available to the voluntary and community sector for projects located in the five London boroughs (Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest) that are hosting the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Projects must contribute to each of the following four outcomes:

  • To raise the spirits and aspirations of local people to derive some real positive benefits for local communities
  • To encourage community participation to make a difference in their own community.
  • To get local people involved in community activities that celebrates and promotes the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
  • To leave a lasting legacy in the community
