Professional Profile

Rachel is a certified careers and business coach working in the North East of England, working with young people in a number of employment settings. Rachel's work involves networking brokerage of work placements for clients and providing coaching on placement. A recent contract included coaching and training a group of 20 young people to produce a website called Your Nxt Step, which provides an insight into different careers, career coaching and work placements.

Rachel also coaches one to one for clients of all ages/backgrounds across the northeast.

 

 

Professional Reputation

Rachel has extensive experience in working with young people. She previously worked as an IAG advisor for Connexions Northumberland for 5 years. She worked with young people aged 13-19, and up to 25 for young people with special needs. This also involved supporting vulnerable young people including young parents/parents to be, young travellers and young people who were not in education/training and employment.

As a Connexions advisor working previously in Sussex, Rachel provided IAG and support for young refugees. She has trained and worked as a specialist crisis line counsellor with the London Rape Crisis Centre, working to support girls and women survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

She has worked with charities and non governmental organisations including: Asylum Aid, Campaign Against Arms Trade, Anti-Slavery International, Help the Aged and Christian Aid. Roles include Media coordinator, campaigner, newsletter editor, refugee caseworker.

Rachel is also a qualified Reiki practitioner.
